Floor housekeeper in Paris

Duration: 6 months
Where: Paris 8th
Language level: french (minimum B1 if foreign), English level B2 and a third language would be a plus
Gratification: Legal internship
Advantages: 50% of transportation fees (metro card), 1 staff meal during working hours and 2 non-consecutive days off

Your duties

Take responsibility for the cleanliness of the hotel as well as customers’ comfort and well-being
Supervise all Housekeeping, Linens, and Laundry department staff whose efficiency and work he/she coordinates in order to ensure flawless quality of service for customers
Receive all customer comments with empathy and communicate them to his or her supervisor
Work closely on a daily basis and communicate effectively with all departments: Porters-Valets, Receptionist, Accounting, Dining, Technical, etc.
Plan the work of the housekeeping department according to the weekly schedule of tasks to be performed
Delegate work according to the time slots and schedules to be filled
Provides the equipment, cleaning products, and the necessary linen for each maid or housekeeper
Establishes a report of the actual room occupancy and checks the daily reception schedule
Prepares rooms for VIP clients
Customises the customer’s room, according to their list of specific requests

Your profile

Very active job requiring excellent appearance and a strong personality.
Organisational, leadership, and interpersonal skills, discretion, and diplomacy are required
Excellent manager
Other key skills: Excellent communicator, team spirit, relevant experience in the field, leadership, attention to detail, responsiveness and adaptability, educator, proactive, optimistic, and positive
Perfect command of several foreign languages
Proficiency in Office tools a must
Hospitality formation

This position of Floor Manager will enable you to understand the administrative organisation of the position of Housekeeper with particular attention to cost management, organisation and team management. Very interesting position if you wish to become a G.G. or to evolve in any other position in the accommodation industry.
