Restaurant head waiter Paris

Duration: 6 months
Where: Paris 9th
Language level: french (minimum B1 if foreign), English level B2 and a third language would be a plus
Gratification: legal internship
Advantages: 50% of transportation fees (metro card), 1 staff meal during working hours, 2 non-consecutive days off and split shifts schedules probable (work breaks between shifts)

Your duties

Assist his (her) superior in all the operational, managerial, and administrative management of his or her department:

  • Organise restaurant services
  • Enforce HACCP standards, general cleanliness, and excellent conduct of the various points of sale
  • Maintain and develop restaurant standards
  • Welcome, advise, and follow up with clients
  • Build customer loyalty with the staff’s interpersonal skills and know-how
  • Organise and plan the work of the brigade
  • Manage the department’s inventory as well as the wine cellar
  • Manage the department’s inventory
  • Cooperate with the Sommelier to manage the wine cellar
  • Increase ticket average.
  • Manage groups and events

Your profile

  • Managerial sense
  • Personality: team spirit, curiosity, and rigour
  • Your interpersonal skills and sense of service
  • Excellent appearance
  • A very good general education 
  • Fluency in several foreign languages, including English
  • BTS, bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management, professional degree in hotel management or hotel management school
  • Proficiency in computer-related matters
