The Talent Developer team invites you to immerse yourself in one of the most beautiful lingerie of the Parisian palaces, the lingerie of the Crillon!

Our objective – explains Estrella, the founder of Talent Developer – is to show you the different horizons and the different professions in which our students blossom by developing their professional skills, in the top of the range of the Parisian hotel industry.
Wilfried wanted to develop his skills in the housekeeping department of a very high-end establishment. We helped him to integrate the linen department of the Crillon Hotel. We did the same with Eunice, who started her internship this December.
The linen department is a function that many students don’t know about, yet it is a very important department for the smooth running of a hotel.
In high-end hotels, and especially in Palaces, this department takes on a central and primordial dimension. Indeed, it is the entire brand image of the establishment that is at stake…
“You don’t think about this service when you arrive at your post and take your clean uniform to start your working day” – Estrella tells us – “Yet imagine a hotel with 500 employees, and multiply that by 3, 4 or 5 uniforms per person…that’s a lot, a lot of uniforms to deal with!”
As Wilfried told us- “our job is very important because all the hotel staff is recognized by the guests, via their uniform. They have to have an impeccable uniform.”
Eunice also talks about a job – “very dynamic, where we have to be as fast as we are focused”

The laundry service also manages the stock of linen for the rooms, the restaurant, the bar, the SPA…
The stock of linen is considerable and considers the number of rooms, seats in the restaurant and the rotation of this linen.
What would happen if we didn’t have enough linen in the hotel to make the rooms or set the restaurant tables?
The linen room staff controls the quality of the linen, the cleanliness, the level of wear and tear and the stock daily… and in financial terms, this is huge! In a Parisian Palace for example, we are talking about several million items and therefore several million euros.

Within the linen room, there are usually several different tasks. Apart from cleaning, the linen is also maintained to remain impeccable. In the linen room, there is also a sewing and embroidery service…
Finally, in addition to the laundry service of the establishment, the service also takes care of the customers’ dry cleaning. Cleaning, express ironing, sewing, or darning of shirts… everything is possible to satisfy a customer in the Palace’s linen room!
We have in our hands, as many classic shirts as unique evening dresses – Wilfried tells us -.
I have seen pieces made by great fashion houses, unique pieces, with astronomical prices but I do not iron these items. We have a professional ironer for that – Wilfried admits.
Lingerie is a very busy department and requires specific skills that make it an excellent steppingstone to move up in the housekeeping department to housekeeping positions.
