While the new school year has already begun for students, it is also the start of the new school year in the hotel and restaurant industry. Between the return of the trade fairs and the new Parisian openings, there is plenty to do in the capital, and we tell you everything…

The return of the culinary fairs, at last!

After some time away, Omnivore, Sirha, and Taste of Paris have made their comeback and, we must admit, we had missed it! But apparently, you did too! That’s why we’ve seen such a resurgence in their attendance. Indeed, 32,000 festival-goers gathered for the 6th edition of Taste of Paris 2021. 105,000 dishes were prepared by more than 90 chefs from all over France, who came together over the weekend to introduce new flavours and techniques. There were many new tastes and we were able to try some of them at the Omnivore show as well. From wasabi to kombucha, we met French producers who came to showcase the quality of their products amidst the culinary demonstrations of chefs from all over the world.
At Sirha, cooperation is the watchword! On 24 September, it is during a round table discussion that innovative ideas and exciting stories from chefs and producers are shared. This year, it is not only the festivals that have been stimulated but also the French chefs. While the Bocuse d’or had not been won by France since 2013, Davy Tissot showed that the years of coronavirus had not stopped the creativity of French chefs.

Treat yourself to an exceptional break at the new Ritz bar!

The streets of the Talent Developer area have been invaded this month by Fashion Week fans. Disadvantage for some and advantage for others, the Ritz took the opportunity to inaugurate its new cocktail bar, which attracted many of the Parisian fauna but not only… who didn’t see Cardi B in her unmissable outfit? This new bar has the particularity to be circular and to have above it a spectacular 2,5 meters lantern reflecting the zodiacal constellations and at night time starts a lively ritual of sounds and lights that will make you travel in time and stars…You will be able to enjoy this moment while eating tapas and sipping one of the twelve cocktails representing each sign of the horoscope!

The future trendy spots to try!

Two new experiences, which will soon be the talk of the town, will shortly open their doors in Paris. In October, you will be able to visit Madame Rêve and its breathtaking Rooftop and its 1000 m² garden. And as novelty is the watchword in Paris, Nick Jones’s Soho House will also open this autumn with the totally new concept of Members’ club only.
In Paris, there are plenty of places to eat with pleasure! After discovering her last winter under the grey skies and curfews, this autumn it’s at Mokoloco, that Erica Paredes is making a splash with an exceptional pop-up and a fried chicken to die for. For brunch, lunch, or dinner, the restaurant will delight your taste buds with its regularly changing half-French, half-Filipino cuisine. You can also enjoy a Kamayan meal on banana leaves.
Finally, because eating well is great but eating healthy is even better, this autumn the streetfood Naked Vegan Burger is opening a new restaurant in Saint-Lazare. There, you will be delighted by the taste of original burgers made only of vegetables.
