Between trips to Switzerland, new European and North African partners, Talent Developer is on the move ! But it was above all a new partner from the other side of the world that kept the Talent Developer teams on their toes. Welcomed like princes, the new “Aussie” partners discovered the world of the hotel industry, gastronomy, education and French culture !

An overview of the summer’s new challenges !

Destination Switzerland for Talent Developer

At the end of April, the Talent Developer team went to participate for the second time in a row in the IRF (International Recruitment Forum) of the Swiss Education Group (SEG). This bi-annual event brings together hospitality professionals from all over the world and students and graduates from the group’s schools who are looking for their next professional opportunity. Estrella and Philippine made the trip to Switzerland and were able to meet students and alumni from SHMS, Culinary Arts Academy, IHTTI and the Cesar Ritz Colleges. These few days were punctuated by numerous meetings with professionals from the sector and interviews with motivated and multicultural students who hope to complete an internship in Paris.  For the first evening, a cocktail party was organized by Swiss Education Group at the Casino Barrière in Montreux which brought together all the recruiters of the international event! Before the cocktail party, the Talent Developer team took the opportunity to visit the Queen Studio Experience, the Montreux recording studio of the legendary band.

Estrella and Philippine also had the opportunity to discover Chef Mosimann’s impressive private collection at the Cesar Ritz College in Le Bouveret. They also had the chance to visit and spend the day at a school they had never visited before and to present Talent Developer’s services during a conference given in the large theatre of the SHMS school in Caux. To finish off these intense days, all the recruiters were invited to take a walk in the gardens overlooking the lake and with a superb view of the Swiss heights. Before leaving, they were able to enjoy a short break while sipping the summer’s signature cocktail, a creation of the Chef Barman, Florent Sabatini, whose recipe will soon be online!

Talent Developer expands to the other side of the globe

After the partnership deployed in the Ivory Coast, Talent Developer is continuing its expansion around the world and in particular in North Africa. After Morocco, it is in Tunisia that Estrella has signed a new partnership for the new academic year! But the deployment does not stop there, since the latest partnership to date is with an Australian school (ABC Institute), whose group is in full development in Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka!  Mid-May, the group’s CEO and his associate traveled to Paris to meet our team. They were welcomed, on their first day in the Talent Developer office, rue du Mont Thabor, over a “French breakfast”. The day continued with a visit to two major French hospitality schools, the Ducasse and Ferrandi schools.

This short 3-day stay was punctuated by the discovery of Paris and by visits to some of the prestigious establishments with which Talent Developer collaborates in the placement of interns, such as the Hotel de Crillon or the Hotel Vernet.  Estrella Maillet and Philippine Freiman also became cultural and tourist guides for a few days: organizing a compulsory visit to the Louvre and the famous Champs Elysées avenue! A gourmet guided tour with La Route des Gourmets, our partner, was also on the agenda. This moment allowed Abu Sadek and Kavi Hurrydoss to live an unforgettable culinary experience and to discover new flavours and famous French pastries.

The whole team is very much looking forward to meeting and accompanying their students in the best Parisian establishments… and maybe, one day, to visit the land of the Kangaroos!
