Between the first impressions of the young interns guided and the desire to work with professionals in the wine industry, Talent Developer is continuing its deployment in France and abroad. A detailed review.

In operation since October 2020, Talent Developer has already welcomed and followed up many young people in search of internships or apprenticeships. And this is all the more true as this period of health crisis is complicating recruitment in the hotel and restaurant industry. The sector has been virtually at a standstill for a year, particularly in Paris. In spite of this, the address books of Estrella Maillet and Philippine Freiman, who run Talent Developer, have enabled them to place several master’s level students in internships in hotels. This is enough to satisfy these young people with a bright future. Some of them have even asked for additional support for their business creation project. From brand registration to the positioning of the future establishment, including advice on its location, the Maillet-Freiman duo coaches the young entrepreneurs. This is yet another mission in the range of services they already offer. This allows them to further refine the profile of the internships they are looking for. “One of the students we monitored was placed in an establishment modelled on the one he wanted to open after graduation,” explains Estrella Maillet.

A growing demand for wine experts

Another area of development: the wine professions. “With Kira Consultants, a firm specialising in the world of wine, we are opening up to this important branch of the restaurant industry, where many sommeliers are currently in demand,” explains Philippine Freiman. In addition, there is a growing demand for wine experts in the wine tourism sector. And for good reasons: “The pandemic has prompted some sommeliers to leave large, often Michelin-starred establishments and move into transmission, consulting or gourmet tourism,” notes the director of operations at Talent Developer. The Maillet-Freiman duo is now proposing to accompany these changes in professional life.

In search of new investors

Finally, Talent Developer is looking for new investors. The idea is to expand, develop the user software, and become even more established in France and abroad. Already represented on four continents – America, Europe, Africa and Asia – by six sales agents, Estrella Maillet and Philippine Freiman want to double their efforts before the start of the school and university year in September. They have just printed a brochure that summarises their position and ambition. Translated into five languages, this document is intended primarily for hotel schools in all countries.

Our brochure, reflecting our ambition, can be downloaded from our website.
